Description
Whale Watching incl. swimming break and picnic
Our whale watching tour starts in Valle Gran Rey, one of the places in the world with the greatest diversity in cetacean species, as well as sea birds and turtles.
Our excursions are done in a comfortable traditional boat, perfectly designed for an intimate and respectful approach.
Among the most frequent sightings in the area we find the bottlenose dolphin and short finned pilot whale, Atlantic spotted dolphin, rough-toothed dolphin, striped dolphin, and different families of beaked whale and big whales. Up to 28 different species have been sighted in the area.
Furthermore, the volcanic origin of the island, the ocean depths of up to 3.000 m, the temperatures and gentle winds make up an exclusive paradise for marine mammals.
In the same way, you can see different species of sea birds. Among the most common turtles we observe the loggerhead turtle, green turtle and leatherback turtle.
About the surroundings, we will be impressed by the coastal formations produced by the erosion of the passage of time, paradisiacal coves and various ruined human constructions (such as La Cantera, a former fish cannery), perfect complement to a picturesque place.
The tours last around 3-4 hours for whale watching, picnic and, if time permits, a pause in a beautiful cove for having a swim and enjoy the rock formations of the cliffs of the island. Good atmosphere, tranquillity and respect are the basic pillars of our excursions in order to offer to the visitor an unforgettable experience.
